Chief Pilot and Flight Instructor

Rafa fell in love with flying as a kid, watching the world go by from the window seat on family trips, then watched his best friend from high school learn to fly and realized he could do it too. Now a Commercial Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor, he trains students in the Piper Cherokee out of Linden Airport, with New York Harbor and the Manhattan skyline as the classroom view. What he loves most is watching a tense, anxious first-timer ease into pure relaxation the moment that skyline appears — midtown's skyscrapers still take his breath away. On a first lesson, he maps out the most efficient path to your goals and sits right beside you, ready to help, while you do most of the flying.
